When poet Krishnadutt Sharma, known as 'Krishna,' was asked to compose a poem on 'Karma', he crafted the following verses:
"In this world, no action is ever small,
Yet, fraud lies where the action itself is wrong.
No human can live without work, it's true,
But unruly actions can lead one astray too.
Blend feelings of religion into deeds,
Absorb in oneself when righteousness succeeds.
With God's grace, never in short supply,
But deception taints when actions belie.
Freedom from actions since our birth,
Yet, we stray from the path, forgetting our worth.
Mistakes made, forgetting good and bad,
God forgives those who return, no need to be sad.
Man's deeds, his own knowledge reveals,
God keeps account, nothing conceals.
Virtue adds to deeds, a cosmic account,
Fruits reaped from the crops we mount.
Offer work to God, virtuous it becomes,
No room for wrongdoing when the heart hums.
True heart's action, worship divine,
Sowing religion in the world, the ultimate sign.
Life's success through religious grace,
Fraud lies in actions where truth we efface."
