Vibhavari, a literary, social, and cultural organization in Saharanpur, organized a poetry competition titled 'Bachpan Ke Rang' for visually impaired students from classes 1 to 12 at the Ideal School, National Vision Divyangjan Empowerment Institute, 116 Rajpur Road, Dehradun, in memory of the late Shri Swyam Prakash Bhatnagar Ji. The competition witnessed the participation of visually impaired boys and girls who showcased their poetic creativity and presentation skills.
In three categories of the poetry competition, visually impaired children like Shivangi-Shubhashish, Chahat, Kanishka, Devansh Sharma, Gauri, Nikita, Simran, Desh Kumar, Shivam Singh, and Sarvesh Singh, secured first, second, and third positions respectively.
The jury for the competition included Shri Shiv Mohan Singh, Shri A.R.P. Saraswat, and Shri Rajiv Upadhyay 'Yayavar' from the decisive panel. The panel praised the poetic recitation and creative abilities of all participants.
Mr. Manish Verma, the director of the National Vision Divyangjan Empowerment Institute, welcomed Vibhavari organization and emphasized the development of literary awareness among visually impaired students, stating that this poetry competition would contribute significantly.
Principal Amit Sharma of the school highlighted the unique poetic talent hidden within visually impaired students, expressing gratitude to Vibhavari for providing a platform for their poetic expressions.
Mr. Hariram Pathik, a member of Vibhavari, acknowledged the outstanding poetry recitation by all visually impaired students in the competition. Dr. Vijendra Pal Sharma, Secretary of Vibhavari, and Dr. R.P. Saraswat, along with other dignitaries, were present at the event.
The program was presided over by senior literary figure Mr. Krishna Dutt Sharma 'Krishna' of Dehradun. In his presidential address, he praised the poetic skills of visually impaired child poets, expressing affection and encouragement for Vibhavari's initiative.
The program saw the active participation of senior poets such as Mr. Sanjay Pradhan, Mr. Harish 'Ravi,' Mr. Anand Singh 'Anand,' and young poet Mr. Pawan Kumar 'Suraj.' The event was successfully conducted with the guidance of Mr. Krishna Datt Sharma 'Krishna.'
