Wherever there is a democratic system around the world, there only the conscious classes or individuals take maximum advantage of the system. Apart from this, the conscious class also keeps the government machinery functional. And,! Ddoes not allow any of the concerned channels to deviate from their duties. In the year 2015, when excessive rains and hailstorm adversely affected the production of mustard and wheat, the Central Government and the Uttar Pradesh Government started clamoringclamouring for relief to the farmers. Immediately there was an uproar among the farmers who were affected by this calamity which came in the form of an accidental calamity. Maharaj Singh, a resident of Ahmedpuri village of Parikshitgarh block of Meerut district, was also affected by the unseasonal rains, so he also became active after hearing about relief from the natural calamity. Before mentioning his efforts, let us first get acquainted with his literate family. Maharaj Singh was born on 10 January 1930 to a farmer couple Mr. Hardatt Singh and Mrs. Mukhtyari Devi. Despite being from a farmer's family, he came to know the importance of proper guidance and education, so after getting proper education, he joined the Public Works Department (PWD) in Rajasthan Government in the year 1960. Shri Maharaj Singh retired from Sawai Madhopur in the year 1996 after successfully completing his tenure. Maharaj Singh was married to Mrs. Veeravati and the couple was blessed with three sons and a daughter. Maharaj Singh couple understood the importance of education and educated the children highly. Of his four children, two sons became engineers while one became an advocate. One of his three boys died an asocial death. His daughter has passed post graduate examination in Science and his son-in-law is I.R.S. Are. His grandchildren are also dedicated towards education, wWhile Maharaj Singh is a conscious and responsible citizen, his grandchildren are also dedicated towards education. Maharaj Singh's residence is in Meerut, but he is in constant contact with the village as well. This is the reason that on receiving information about rain and hailstorm affecting his wheat crop, he immediately submitted an application containing detailed details to the concerned officer after taking information from the district headquarters and concerned tehsil Mawana. He and kept getting informed about the status of that application from time to time. Apart from this, he has also planted a garden. Unseasonal rain had caused a lot of damage in this garden too, so he handed over a prayer letter regarding the garden to the District Horticulture Officer in Meerut. Meanwhile, he kept getting informed about the status of both these applications. He got the benefit of being in constant touch with the applications that he became fully aware of the procedure to be followed in such situations and he is also quite sure that Ihe will get fair compensation. At the same time, they also believes that by being associated with this process, on the one hand, heI will get an opportunity to be aware of the state of mind of the government,; on the other hand, to know how much relief is given for how much damage? Apart from this, Maharaj Singh will also be able to do the work of giving advice to his brothers and the society as a process expert. If the society can take cognizance of Maharaj Singh's awareness and become even a little more aware, then it can become self-sufficient to a great extent. Literacy and awareness are two completely different things. By being literate, it can never be understood that the one who is literate is also aware. Awareness is a completely different condition and it signifies the sensitivity of class or society. Come! Today, let's take a collective pledge that if we are literate, we will definitely become aware and conscious citizens of the society and also try our best to know who can become our motivators?
